Habitat for Humanity Hawaii, Hope Services, Scared Heart Church, and hundreds of volunteer community members and organizations joined hands to build 21 micro-housing units in record time.  This free temporary housing facility will be used by seniors over the age of 60 and families with children under the age of 18 whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by the Kīlauea eruption.

Big Island IL Specialist, Emily Bartlett-Henry, had the privilege of delivering coffee for all the volunteers, thanks to the generous donation by Starbucks Hilo Drive-Thru.  AILH was able to play a small role in supporting the volunteers to help them stay energized in order to finish all 21 micro-homes in one day! It was an amazing sight of pure aloha to see the community come together in this special way.  #PunaStrong
