Free Smoke Detectors

The American Red Cross has a nationwide program to install free smoke detectors for people with low income, people with disabilities, and the elderly population.  Individuals who meet these criteria may sign up for free smoke detectors and installation!  The Red Cross can also order bed shakers for people who are deaf and hard of hearing.
For the Big Island please sign up with your local Fire Department:
