The InterIsland Group met via Zoom on April 28 to celebrate the Earth! Julie, Lani and David gave tours of their gardens and shared information about the plants that they are growing. Others shared stories of their experiences growing their own plants, vegetables and fruit trees.
Julie led the group in planting marigold seeds, an important plant for medicinal purposes and garden pest control. We concluded by sharing ways to reduce, reuse and recycle! This was a really wonderful, interactive group.
The next InterIsland Zoom will be May 26th when we will honor Lei Day, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day by making leis.
