AILH staff recently attended the 3rd Annual Building Competency in Serving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Other Sexual Minority (LGBTQ+) Youth in Juvenile Justice, Social Services, Health, and Education Programs in Hawaii. The conference featured Film-makers, Wilson and Hamer, and Hinaleimoana Wong-Kalu, who shared about their Tongan documentary, “Leitis in Waiting” and the LGBTQ Human Rights Campaign of the Pacific. This informative training enlightened our staff on ways to better understand the needs of our LGBTQ youth.
