Following the Mayoral Proclamation, special guests shared valuable information with the audience of the 5th Annual East Hawaii Island Disability Legislative Forum. At the panel discussion of the event, attendees asked Senator Russell Ruderman (Senate District 2) and Derek Inaba (State of Hawaii Division of Vocational Rehabilitation) questions about important community topics such as Health, Housing, Transportation, Education, and Employment. Karin Riedel, IL Specialist for Aloha Independent Living Hawaii, attended the event in order to share about the services AILH provides island-wide.
