What IS Possible: Customized Employment Training on Maui

Maui Staff Brian and Lani attended a customized employment training last week Thursday called What IS Possible.  Guest speaker Heather Weldon, City of Seattle Supported Employment Manager, shared a customized employment for people with developmental disabilities in her hometown of Seattle.  Attendees received a wealth of information on how to think differently about the “obstacles” surrounding employment, how to talk to potential employers, and how to make a business case for hiring people with developmental disabilities.
