During the recent trip to the Big Island, the TeleConnect team was able to serve a consumer who is a Chuukese immigrant; English is his second language. To best serve this consumer AILH secured a Chuukese interpreter to translate during his in-person device training. The consumer adapted and obtained every single new piece of information being taught to him. During the beginning of the second training session, he had shown us that he had in fact been practicing his new skills and even downloaded apps that coincided with some of his interests. The consumer is now able to connect to on-line church services and communicate with his many friends and family members through video calls.
