As part of Starkloff Disability Institute’s Disability Pride Month and ADA 30 Anniversary celebrations, they are delighted to invite you to a FREE virtual event this Friday, July 10, at 10:00AM (CST).
The webinar, Reporting on Disability with Dignity, will focus on 1) historical representation of people with disabilities within the media, 2) common misconceptions and language mistakes frequently used by reporters, and 3) how to speak about disability with dignity from an empowering point of view.
Please check it out and feel free to forward the invitation to anyone in your circle you feel might benefit from this session (especially those in your area that work in the media).
We have a few other great virtual events happening this month, as well, as we continue our celebrations.
All events are FREE to attend but do require registration
July 16 – Black Disabled Lives Matter – A National Outlook from Thought Leaders
July 24 – Black Disabled Lives Matter – An Intimate View from Self-Advocates in Our Community
