Protecting Your Identity

Residents of Hale Kuhao on Oahu were enlightened by a presentation on “Protecting Your Identity,” by Jen Hernandez of the Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union.  Jen explained the ways that criminals get personal information and what they do with that data.  She also gave tips to prevent identity theft as well as the steps to take if one does fall victim to identity theft.  This was very relevant and helpful information, as identity theft is on the rise not only here in Hawaii but all across the nation.  Be vigilant and stay safe!
