It was a beautiful morning for the Molokai Charity Walk on May 5, 2018. Walkers gathered for the opening pule under the oceanside reception tent at Hotel Molokai. The 7:00 a.m. walk began from Hotel Molokai to Friendly Isle Auto Parts and back to Hotel Molokai. After the walk, participants gathered to hear introductions by each group that participated followed by entertainment and a program emceed by the lovely Leialoha. The raffle drawing was a hit and most of our AILH team members walked away as winners. The grand prize was a 3-night stay at the Sheraton Waikiki and 30,000 Hawaiian Miles. $17,000 was raised for Molokai charities, with top honors going to Molokai General Hospital for raising over $3,000.
With a team of 10, AILH Molokai raised $398.00 with Crissie Navas-Puaoi raising a total of $108.00 and winning her a Molokai designer trucker hat. The team went home feeling like champs and looking forward to an even bigger and better Charity Walk next year.
