Maui’s Vision Impairment and Blindness Education Support Group gathered this week in Kahului for their monthly meeting. A robust group of 12 discussed ways to identify and label money and various other items. Participants experimented with bump dots, bold line pens, and free smartphone apps. One consumer demonstrated the iBill Currency Reader and all participants were able to try it out. The group’s next meeting will be held on May 31 where they will be listening to an audio presentation about Vision Loss and Fall Prevention.
