The Hawaii State Legislature’s Public Access Room (PAR) recently joined AILH in hosting a presentation in follow-up to the Maui Disability Alliance (MDA) Legislative Forum. This session focused on how the disability community can track legislation and promote laws that favor/support people with disabilities.
Tips and techniques on effective lobbying, understanding the legislative process, and helpful tools and resources were shared with members of the MDA. Advocacy Coordinator, Brian Hauser, coordinated this event which provided useful information to give Maui community members a voice in their legislative process.
