Our community partner, Jen Hernandez of the Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union, visited one of our Traumatic Brain Injury support groups, Hui Malama Po’o, this Saturday with a presentation on “Protecting Your Identity.” Jen explained the various ways that criminals get personal information and what they do with that data. She also provided tips to prevent identity theft as well as the steps to take if one does fall victim to identity theft. The group found the information very helpful especially with identity theft on the rise here in Hawaii and all across the nation. We continue to try and educate our consumers to be safe!
