In order to reach out to the disabled community in Ka’u on the Big Island, IL Specialist Keoki Kai reached out and met with Ka’u Rural Health Association Executive Director Jessie Marquez.
They discussed the needs of the community and how Aloha Independent Living Hawaii’s services can benefit the people with disabilities in Ka’u and H.O.V.E.
Keoki was invited to be a part of a monthly Service Provider meeting.
In January 2020 all three Big Island IL Specialists will attend the provider meeting to share in detail the scope of our services.
The Telehealth machine being used in Ka’u is very impressive and enables people to get maintenance care with their PCP without having to commute to and from Hilo or Kona.
