Hui Malama Po’o has been fortunate to receive support from organizations such as Aloha Independent Living Hawai`i, Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, and the Hawai’i
Neurotrauma Registry Project. One of the Hui’s objectives is to give back to the community in gratitude for the kokua it has received, especially through sharing the joy of creating personal and beautiful crafts.
On May 23, 2015, Hui Malama Po’o organized a card-making event for outpatients at Shriners Hospital for Children. Hui members shared a bounty of paper materials so that the keiki could make cards for themselves, their families, and friends.
