AILH’s Oahu support group, Hui Malama Po`o, offers free blood pressure tests for participants at the Lanakila Senior Center. As former nurses, several members of the Hui recognized the need to increase awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure and to take part in preventative health care maintenance. This free service is offered once a week and is just one of several ways that the Hui is giving back to their community.
