Friends of Hawaii Charities distributed $1.1 million in charitable grants this month from proceeds raised at the 2018 Sony Open. AILH was among the 140 community-based, non-profit organizations selected for our work serving Hawaii’s children, women, elderly, and impoverished.
Oahu IL Specialist, Thomas Lum, gratefully accepted our award yesterday at a luncheon held at Waialae Country Club. For the 14th consecutive year, the Sony Open “Drive To A $Million” charity initiative successfully reached its annual million-dollar goal. Mahalo nui loa to the Friends of Hawaii Charities, and The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc., which matches funds raised at tournament dollar-for-dollar.
