Now Hiring: Independent Living Specialist
Part-time Independent Living Specialist position available on the island of Kauai. Responsible for information & referral, peer counseling, independent living skills training, advocacy, transition, and coordination with community service agencies. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in working with people with disabilities. Knowledge of community resources and disability service provision. Skills required in oral and written communication, multi-task organization, and the ability to work independently. Must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle to travel to meet with consumers in all areas of the community. Personal experience with disability preferred.
