Our Maui staff was thrilled to deliver 28 boxes filled with 967 stuffed animals to the Lahaina Police Department on Friday, September 21. Officer, Ryan Saribay was on hand to gratefully receive these special cuddly creatures to share with the keiki of Maui. The purpose of this outreach is to provide all Police Officers with a box in each of their cars so that when they arrive at a difficult call, they are equipped with a stuffed animal to comfort a child in need.
In addition to the many individuals who donated stuffed animals for this cause, AILH would also like to thank the following for partnering with us and serving as drop off locations: Hair Salon Unlimited, Territorial Saving Bank (Lahaina Branch), Crazy Shirts at the Wharf, Ohana Health Center (Kahului), Maui Jim’s Sunglasses and Maria Terra and the West Maui Task Force. Mahalo to all those who supported this beautiful act of aloha!
