AILH Maui celebrated the holiday season on Friday, December 8th with a festive luncheon at the Class Act Restaurant at the University of Hawaii Maui College. We gathered to enjoy the beautiful music provided by the UH Institute of Hawaiian Music under the direction of Dr. Keola Donaghy while eating a delicious meal that included macadamia nut crusted fish with lilikoi butter. Everyone was raving about the Papaya Seed salad dressing. Sam Nagasawa, Independent Living Program Director, flew in from Hilo to join the celebration and thank everyone for being a part of Aloha Independent Living Hawaii. Throughout the afternoon we gave away over 20 prizes that were donated by very generous Maui businesses. Teresa and Fay were excited to win the grand prizes: 2 tickets to the Old Lahaina Luau and a $100 gift certificate to Island Grocery respectively. Everyone left filled with the holiday spirit and already looking forward to next year’s party!
