The Maui County Office on Aging held its 17th Annual Family Caregivers Conference at the Grand Wailea on Friday, November 16th. AILH Advocacy Coordinator, Brian Hauser and Maui IL Specialist, Kathleen Kenney were among the Resource Exhibitors. Over 300 caregivers and older adults attended the conference for a day filled with information to “supercharge caregiving.” Terry and Michelle spoke about Living Well with Dementia, sharing strategies for both the individual and the caregiver. After a bountiful lunch, two physical therapists gave tips on shoulder exercises for caregivers and wound care basics. It was a great event hosted by MCOA with valuable information and resources shared with our community.
