One of our five core services at AILH is Advocacy, both individual and systems change. AILH Advocacy Coordinator Brian Hauser works with systems change advocacy, to inform and advocate for change in an effort to increase equality and inclusion for the disability community.
On Friday, August 30th, Brian traveled to Hilo to teach our community the basic steps of advocacy, and how we can learn to advocate for ourselves and for others. Those in attendance learned what it means to be an advocate, and the differences between Individual Advocacy and Systems Change Advocacy.
