IL Specialist Support Staff – Leilani “Lani” Cadaoas

Born and raised on the Big Island, Leilani “Lani” Cadaoas, began at AILH as a volunteer at the Hilo office through the “First to Work” program.  She has now officially joined our team as the IL Specialist Support Staff.  Lani will continue assisting our IL Specialists with support groups, community events, entering data into the CIL Suite system, and other clerical duties as needed.  We are delighted to have Lani as a part of our AILH ohana.

Lani is a mother of two young girls. Her oldest daughter developed “Jobs Syndrome” as an infant.  Because this rare genetic condition required frequent trips to the ER and monthly visits to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children on Oahu, Lani became a full-time caregiver and stay-at-home mom.  After four years it was determined that her daughter “outgrew the illness” and is now a healthy young girl.
